Tideport Command
★★★★☆ 4.4
Tideport Command puts you in charge of a seaside settlement that has to balance building, trade routes, and the occasional storm. It's a strategy game that could easily have been a grind, but the designers kept turns tight and let you queue decisions, so you're never stuck waiting.
The pinch-to-zoom map is readable even on a phone, and dragging units around felt precise once we got used to it. There's a genuine learning curve around supply chains, and the tutorial is a bit dry, but push through and the systems click together nicely.
Our main note: play in portrait if you can, since the one-handed mode keeps the important buttons in reach. A good pick for anyone who likes thinking a few moves ahead.
What we liked
- Readable map on small screens
- No artificial waiting walls
- Deep but approachable supply systems
